Description

The Space Automated Bioproduct Lab (SABL) is a dual-function incubator/freezer on the ISS that keeps biological samples and other experiment materials between -5°C and +43°C. It offers over 23 liters of temperature-controlled, LED-lit volume with USB, Ethernet and 28 VDC/5 VDC power for experiment inserts, supports step and ramp temperature profiles, and is commanded from BioServe's Payload Operations and Control Center. Three flight units have operated on the ISS since launches in 2015 and 2017.
