Description
Airborne, polarimetric, millimeter-wavelength (94.4 GHz) cloud radar in an underwing pod of the NSF/NCAR HIAPER GV, with a rotatable reflector for 240° cross-track scanning or zenith/nadir staring; provides reflectivity, velocity and dual-polarization variables at ~20 m range resolution and derived products such as melting-layer altitude and hydrometeor identification.
