NOAA-CIRES-DOE Twentieth Century Reanalysis (20CR): a four-dimensional global atmospheric dataset of weather from 1806 to 2015 built from surface pressure observations with an ensemble data assimilation system; V3 gives 8-times-daily estimates on 75 km grids with uncertainty estimates.
